A question for my project asks, "What Are the roots/zeros/x-intercepts of your parabola i. Solve by Factoring ii. Solve by using the quadratic formula. (the equation is x^2 + 9x +18) I factored my equation and was left with x=-6 and x=-3. What do I do with these numbers to find the roots/zeros/x-intercept ? Also, is the y-intercept my y-coordinate for the vertex of the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = -6, -3 are your roots, zeros, and x-intercept Roots, zeros, and x-intercept are all the same thing. they all describe the point at which the equation crosses the x-axis
