Let A denote the event that the sum of 2 dice equals 3

A and B are true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain please?

OpenStudy (john_es):

A={(1,2),(2,1)} is true, because it is possible that the first die is 1 and the second 2 or the first 2 and the second 1. P(A)=1/18, because if you write all possible sums that can be made with the results of two dice, you obtain 36 possibilites. But only two of these possibilities sum 3. So the probability is 2/36=1/18.

That makes a lot more sense then what was going through my head lol. Just A and B then?

OpenStudy (john_es):

Yes ;).

Alright. Thanks man much appreciation

You're welcome.
