PLEASE HELPPP!!!!!! .... solve 5x^3-6x^2-4x-8=0

like are you supposed to use factoring to do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. 1/5+4/5i, -2/5+6/5i, 4 b. -2/5+4/5i, -2/5-4/5, 2 c. -2/6+4/5i,-4 d.1/5+2/5i,-3/5+-3/5i, 3

You could factor the equation and obtain (x-2)*(5*x^2+4*x+4). This way you would see one solution in the first set of brackets. If x=2 then the first term becomes zero and hence the total expression becomes zero. This means, you have a solution. The other two solutions are complex

you can rewrite it as|dw:1381001492678:dw|
