Is this a correct interpretation? Shakespeare's Hamlet takes place in Denmark in December (see Act I, Scene i, where they are complaining about the bitter cold and upcoming Christmas). No less than a month later, Ophelia drowns in a brook. And then she is buried in the ground. Isn't this fairly impossible when both will be frozen given Denmark's winter temperatures?
Most of it is correct but where did you get your sources and remember youneed to cite your sources too. :)
It isn't for an essay or anything. I just was thinking about the setting and the possible error there. But thanks for your answer.
At worst, it seems just a few months with the trip to England and back.
I am not sure what temperature you would need to get to for it to have the frozen ground where you can not dig a grave easily.
But it certainly is in the cold period. http://climate.usurf.usu.edu/reports/freezeDates.php?ntwk=GHCN&sSubmit=Select&acronym=DK
