factor x^2 - 6x + 9
(x-3) (x-3)
x^2-6x+9 = (x-3)(x-3) = (x-3)^2 12x^2+x-6 a=12 b=1 c=-6 and ac=-72 12x^2+x-6 = 12x^2 +9x-8x-6= 3x(4x+3)-2(4x+3) = (4x+3)(3x-2)
Yes way too complicated, only to come up with the wrong answer @angeleye
First we will deal with the x^2+6x+9. This easily factors into (x+3)(x+3) I keep this expanded for a reason. But now we will deal with the -y^2...This can be factored into (y)(-y) So now you have (x+3)(x+3)+(y)(-y) You can then rewrite this as (x+3+y)(x+3-y) So that is the final answer. If anyone sees a mistake just let me know.
so the answer is (x+3+y)(x+3-y) correct?
yes
alright thx
thanx 4 the medal
@angeleye where did the y come from??
what?
y is not in the solution. the first answerer was correct.. there was no "y" to begin with.
the correct answer is (x-3)^2
thats weird
so the answer is your answer now jolee? lol
Yes. just ask any of the experts and i guarantee the first answerer's and mine are correct. 1000000000% sure
alright thx!
there wasnt even a y to begin with. do u see??
yeah I saw and I was like that has nothing to do with it lol. I thought I was missing something
ok
nice job @angeleye though, in helping others1
thank u
