well you are almost correct look at the problem, you have 4 terms when you should have 3. combine the like terms \[(5x -3)\times (x + 7) = 5x(x + 7) - 3(x + 7)\] distribute and the like terms will be in x the 2 correct terms are \[5x^2 - 21 \] find the middle term
