How does the division rule for exponents help in understanding why anything to the zero power is 1?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Let's call this "anything to the zero power" x^0. According to the division rule for exponents, we could rewrite this as x^(1-1) since 1-1=0. That can be rewritten as x/x and we know that x (or anything) divided by itself is 1.

Ohh I get it now! Ahh thank you. :)

Glad I could help :)
