HELP the dy/dx of 2x^2 - 3y^2 + 12x - 12y + 22 = 0

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

First thing is to just differentiate it all, term by term, then worry about isolating the dy/dx.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it -12-4x/ -12 - 6y?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

If you factor out some common factors i think you're right... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=dy%2Fdx+of+2x%5E2+-+3y%5E2+%2B+12x+-+12y+%2B+22+%3D+0

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

(-12-4x)/ (-12 - 6y) = -4(x+3)/(-6(y+2)) which can be simplified to wolfram's result.
