Chemistry exam in 10days later, it's a important exam. I need a proper way to prepare , someone guide me.(I can manage 6 hour everyday for study) It's a chemistry test (standard around A-level~ but lower) Here's the range , Organic: Alkanes Alkenes Alkynes Benzene Alchohol Phenol Ketone Carboxylic acid Aldehyde Esther Polymer Non-organic: Element-H,O,S,HALOGEN,NA,K,Mg,Ca,C,Si,NP,Al,TransitionElement Physical chemistry: Solution,Enthalpy, rate of reaction, Equilibrium,Ksp,DissociationEquilibrium,Redox and Electrochemistry,NuclearChemistry,Qualitative Analysis

In organic chemistry I suggest you begin to learn all the functional groups you've written. When you got the hang of that it is appropriate to watch some mechanisms for reactions with the different functional groups in order for you to write up what products that may be formed in reactions with respect to your curriculum. in-organic you need to elaborate. When you write it like that I can just say learn the WHOLE periodic table and so much periodicity you can. PhysChem: We need elaboration too.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

And for gods sake you need to be able to name any molecule that contain the functional groups you've mentioned.

I can hardly remember the inorganic reaction and property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What should I start with? My physic chemistry base is stronger than other, organic i have studied before

OpenStudy (frostbite):

What you should start with is for you to decide.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

@thomaster any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any studying material online good for inorganic element study?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Nothing I know of. I learned it through Housecroft's Chemistry.

http://www.chemguide.co.uk/index.html#top i found this ,how is it?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Looks fine to me when you consider the aims.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

The content also look fine, very HS like as he does not like to derive his mathematical arguments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What to emphasis on inorganic study? like reaction with water, reaction with acid, property?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

reactions with acids/bases are good yea and water is also good. Oxygen is optional, first ionization energies are good as well. oxidation states are very important too. How are your quantum numbering?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i studied it

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Right, they are also good to know. Otherwise just follow the site, the more I look at it, the better it becomes.
