?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

opinion doesn't play a role in observing data

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, opinion should not play a role in interpreting scientific data (not that such good science happens all the time). That is why you create a falsifiable hypothesis, use statistics to infer the power and confidence of your results and see if you can reject the null-hypothesis (for example). This tries to eliminate any biases, but even statistics can be cleverly manipulated to give you results/conclusions that you would like to see, which may or may not represent what is actually going on. Biases will always be there no matter how much you try to snuff them out. Science isn't some ivory tower of infallibility, we got scientific vagabounds (looks at the big pharma) that really want to profit from scientific data rather then get insights on how things works. Whats your "opinion" about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree with you i just asked my teacher and he said the same thing thanks :)
