Find x,y,z 2x-y+2z=-9 -3x+y-z=6.5 x-y+3z=-8.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, solve for x in any equation.

You can use matrices for this if you know how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you please tell me how. It'll be helpful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes matrices would be much easier. Nice thinking!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

By matrices do you mean Cramer's Rule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you can use reduce echelon form or cramer's rule, wouldn't both work. I know reduce echelon would work for sure especially since she got most of her leading 1in every row.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 -1 2 -9 -3 1 1 6.5 1 -1 3 -8.5 I mean this is pretty butchered but if you know matrices you'll see what I mean right? You can use cramer's rule (If I remember it is Xi=Det Ai/Det A) However reduce echelon form might be faster, it all depends on what you like. What I'm saying is from Linear Algebra if you're taking it.

Oh, ok thanks!
