The equation of line EF is y = 2x + 1. Write an equation of a line parallel to line EF in slope-intercept form that contains point (0, 2). a. y = -2x - 4 b. y = 2x + 2 c. y = -1/2x - 4 d. y = 1/2x + 2

To have a parallel line, your slope must be equal in both the line you are trying to create and the line that you originally have. So, in this problem that should be a dead give away.

b?

Directrix (directrix):

I agree - just use the y = mx + b form where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. That is, use that after getting m, the slope, according to @blehbleh .

yes b is correct. nice job
