@e.mccormick Read the following: Terrence and Edward have been lifelong enemies, and they finally decide to settle their differences in a duel. They take their pistols and each walks thirty paces away from the other. Then they turn around and fire. Terrence is the only one left standing. What part of Freytag's plot structure best describes this scene? A. Resolution B. Climax C. Rising action D. Exposition

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its b or c

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

To be honest, they just covered the entire set! The lifelong enimies is the rising, they get to a choice is the climax, they do a dual is falling, and the death is a resolution!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do i do

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I would go with resolution because they get that far with it. But it is a poorly done example.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo ok

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The problem is "this scene." If it said, "The last scene" or "The first scene" it would be clear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was rising action

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Bah. Just really poorly done! http://www.ohio.edu/people/hartleyg/ref/fiction/freytag.html
