*MEDAL* Can somebody please help me with this? I understand how to solve it, just a bit confused on the first step or two.

the easiest way seems to be to get x or y alone and divide by 4, then plug that into the first equation. I'm pretty positive that will work.

Alright, so here's where Im curious. Why do you divide by 4? Is it because that's jsut what you do for this form of math or is there something in the bottom row I go off of?

I just simplify the easiest equation and then plug it in. I'm sure there is someone who could answer your question better, my friend, but that is the way I learned it. Get x or y alone in the simplest equation them plug the simplified version into the unused equation.

Alight. Well thanks for your help anyways :)
