Help with ceiling and floor functions?

OpenStudy (primeralph):

What part don't you understand?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

This is the answer to the floor function, I don't know how to show the work it takes to get that answer

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Where is the answer?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

oh oops one second

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

OpenStudy (primeralph):

The floor function only takes whole numbers. Pick any number, and the closest whole number less than it is the floor. For example, 3.46 has a floor of 3.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Meaning, you simply disregard the numbers after the decimal. If the number is whole, the floor is the same. floor(4) = 4.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

okay so how do I show how I got all the points?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Do I just choose numbers and then have them round up?

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Yes, something like that.
