OpenStudy (cwrw238):

This is not a question its just about something I read recently regarding repeated prime factors. The probability of a non-prime number having repeated prime factors is said to be 6 / pi^2. Isn't it amazing that the circumference of a circle is involved in a probability formula? I expect there are more of these - pi is also a part of the Normal Distribution function.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

thats interesting. \(\pi\) does show up a lot. But with that said, this is the biology section; You're probably thought this was math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

emergent properties and recurrent patterns are at the core of our existence. go pi!
