Hello, I need help with C on pg 2!
hartnn (hartnn):
so, in C
what function will you choose for finding left hand limit ?
what for right hand limit ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
a=pi and I need to find the left, right and full limits, and and all ideas are awsome! thnxs!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
i will use sinx/3 for the left and x radical 3/2pi for the right?
hartnn (hartnn):
correct!
now you just plug in x= pi in them
and see whether left hand limit comes out to be = right hand limit
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well thats easy!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
graded assignment...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol

one sec hartnn!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so the right hand limit is sin(3.14/3)=.8657598395!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That is correct because x is less than or equal to pi, but it doesnt seem u can use that for the right side
hartnn (hartnn):
you know what Right hand limit mean, don't you ? and y not ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes, i understand the right hand left hand and L limits, i just dont understnad hwo to find the right hand limit!

hartnn (hartnn):
just plug in x = pi in the function you chose for Right hand limit, that it!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok great!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what about the full limit?
hartnn (hartnn):
first check whether LHL and RHL come out to be equal.
because if they do not, then the full limit does not exist!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok thankyou, attached is the worksheet i need to complete, if u want to help me with anymore that would be greatly appreciated if not thankyou for the help!

hartnn (hartnn):
which one do u need help with ?
and what did u get for full lim ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well if LHS=radical3/2 AND RHS=radical3/2, LHS=RHS, THUS THE LIMIT MUST EXIST, but what is the limit?
hartnn (hartnn):
correct, limit must exist and is = f(pi)
can you find f(pi) ?
for that choose a function which has x=pi
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so does the limit = radical 3/2?
hartnn (hartnn):
absolutely.

ok, thnxs
hartnn (hartnn):
welcome ^_^
OpenStudy (anonymous):
for B. i got LHS = - infinity, and RHS = POSITIVE INFINITY, THUS THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST, IS THAT RIGHT?
hartnn (hartnn):
for B ? O.o
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the equation before the one we were working on

hartnn (hartnn):
there's sin x cos x, tan x...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
hartnn (hartnn):
so whats sin pi/6 ?
-infinity ? no
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hold on!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1/2

hartnn (hartnn):
yes,
what about right limit and f(pi/6) ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
radical3/2
hartnn (hartnn):
thats right limit and f(pi/6) =... ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
a?
hartnn (hartnn):
sorry, what a ?
and to get f(pi/6) you will use tan x right ?
so whats tan pi/6 =... ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
radical3/3
hartnn (hartnn):
yes, since these 3 are not equal, the actual limit does not exist
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thankyou
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what about a on the 3rd page?

r u still there?
hartnn (hartnn):
yes.
hartnn (hartnn):
in 3rd page which one you have tried ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
a and b
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1/p+1/q=1/f, 1/p=7/35-5/35,1/p=2/35,p=17.5 for A

OpenStudy (anonymous):
1/p=1/5-1/q is for B.
hartnn (hartnn):
ok, both are correct :)
hartnn (hartnn):
but for B, you need simplification
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thnxs thats all the help i need
hartnn (hartnn):
wait, B is not over yet

hartnn (hartnn):
1/q= 1/5-1/p right ?
so,
1/q = (p-5)/5p
so,
q =5p/(p-5)
got it ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yup
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ill messsage u in the futre if i need help ok?
hartnn (hartnn):
or you can just post a question here.
if i am not onlne, someone will surely help you :)
