Write a radical in which the radicand consists of a coefficient and a variable. Use a coefficient that can be simplified best using the greatest perfect square method. Then, simplify the radical completely. You can use "sqrt()" to show a square root. For example, 7 times the square root of a can be written as 7sqrt(a).

How do I put that in word form? @cuitiefromthesouth2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sq root twenty X equals sq root four times five X sq root four times sq root five X equals two sq root five.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

word form means just explain the steps of how you got to the simplified form of the expression

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I wrote it out, hold on i am type it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I broke 20 down an got 4 and 5 witch = 20 then I took sq 4 and 5x took 4 out of the sq root because 2 goes into it. kept sq 5x because it doesn't simply to any more so that gave me 2 sq root 5x
