I need help with some information to any of the essay prompts.

Select one of the following prompts to serve as the basis for a persuasive analytical essay. Take a firm stance on the prompt and write a 5-paragraph, double-spaced essay supporting your position. Make sure that you have a strong thesis statement at the end of your introduction and clear topic sentences in each body paragraph that provide arguments in support of your thesis. Be sure to provide textual support in the form of quotations to buttress each of your claims. PROMPTS: “Some of Shakespeare’s most important characters are the least interesting, and conversely, some of his least important characters are the most interesting.” Discuss this paradox with reference to Sebastian and Sir Andrew, Antonio and Maria, or another pairing of your choosing. You will also need to analyze a central character who supports this position or defies it. Olivia accuses Malvolio of being “sick of self-love.” Which other characters also suffer from the same disease that makes them proud and self-important? Analyze the extent to which these characters are infected, and the effect of this self-love on their actions and those they come in contact with. Compare and contrast these characters with several whose love is more genuine or even selfless. Discuss the different types of humor in Twelfth Night. Some is physical, some visual, some verbal, and some satirical. Identify examples of each and explore the dramatic and thematic effects they produce.

Wow @SolomonZelman!

I am not good at Literature, but I'll try to.. anyway. Oh! I choose the first one prompt! My pair is King Duncan (will say KD, no, not Kevin Durant) and Lady Macbeth (will say LM) . (Obviously KD is (considered to be) a minor character). Even such an insidious character like LM says that she can't kill KD, even though she did say that she would kill anybody to.... To my opinion, b/c she saw him (and he truly was) totslly innocent and positive. The way Shakespeare talks about him is that he is, no not exactly righteousness, that's not the implication/point; Shakespeare talks about him as a as a week (action-wise, as a king) but perfect when it comes to traits. This is why KD is the most interesting.. "You will also need to analyze a central character who supports this position or defies it." Although most of the people who read the Macbeth would say that LM is the most interesting character, to my point of view she is not more than a usual (type of a) character. Lady Macbeth (will say LM) is just a super evil character something that almost any author writes or wrote about. No one would say lady LM is an unusual character, she is crucial and the main charc., or one of them; where as KD, to whom no one really pays attention, he is really the key character. This is why LM is truly not as interesting as people tend to think. This is my personal analysis about Macbeth.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Didn't I do this already?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you start me off?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

You need the first sentence for the intro paragraph, right?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

In all of the Shakespeare's novels, were not only exciting and spectacular, but also edifying. Although all his stories were sapiential, most of them were made, however the Macbeth was one of a few novels that were a historical fiction. Is that good for now? next describe the play you're going to talk about really briefly. In your case it is how Lady Macbeth coaxes Macbeth to kill Duncan and they how they do their "black deed" (you can mention how Macbeth, guided by Lady Macbeth's dispassionate plan, after killing Duncan, smear the hands and cloths of his henchmen, with his own blood.) Good with the intro?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

@Rahcel_97 Would something like this would be good? In all of the Shakespeare's novels, were not only exciting and spectacular, but also edifying. Although all his stories were sapiential, Macbeth was one of a few novels that were a historical fiction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where does it start from Although or In all?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

OH, my bad.... (some corrections and changes to what I wrote b/f) All of the Shakespeare's novels, are not only exciting and spectacular, but also edifying. Although all his stories were sapiential, Macbeth was one of a few novels that were a historical fiction. this is it!
