Please Help Solve the system by graphing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hero (hero):

You have \(-2x = 2y - 4\) \(2x - y = -5\) Divide both sides of the first equation by 2: \(-x = y - 2\) \(2x - y = -5\) Isolate y in both equations: \(y = 2 - x\) \(y = 2x + 5\)

hero (hero):

Then use something like this to graph it: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/13z01tmntm

I have to clue on using that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be this right?

hero (hero):

Yes, correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks, can you help me with a few more.

Solve the system by using a table.

hero (hero):

Multiply both sides of both equations by 10: -2x - 3y = 2 4x - 3y = 14 Multiply the first equation by -1: 2x + 3y = -2 4x - 3y = 14 Add both equations together: 6x = 12 x = 12/6 x = 2 Since x = 2, plug it back into the original equation to find y: -2(2) - 3y = 2 -4 - 3y = 2 -4 - 2 = 3y -6 = 3y -6/3 = y -2 = y So (2, -2) is the solution
