Factor –x2 + 2x – 1 out
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
I mean factor, not factor out
OpenStudy (anonymous):
The x-intercepts is where y = 0. Take your equation and set it equal to 0.
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
(-x-1)(x+1)=0
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
so what value of x is going to be 0?

@awkwardpanda can you help meh?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
No, it is -1, (so that y equals to 0 )
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So its C?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
In your question is it (–x)^2 or -(x)^2?
I though it is the second one, right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Idk

its just -x^2
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
so it is only x to the second power, not -x to the second power.
(first power and than -)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
My bad it is 1.
D
OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):
There we go, haha (:
OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):
Aim it's 1.

I factored incorrexctly it is (-x+1)(x-1), not (-x-1)(x+1)
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
Yes it is !, the answer is D
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh ok i thought u said -1
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
100% sure
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
it is 1

Because it would be (-1) right? which makes it 1.
