Ok, we don't care what actually happens at 2, just around.
As we move closer to 2 on the left what are y values getting close to?
OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):
4
myininaya (myininaya):
Right not what about from the right?
OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):
2
OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):
So it's false.

Yeah I think so
myininaya (myininaya):
you are right because left limit does not approach the same as right limit
OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):
The second question, it's does not exist, correct?
myininaya (myininaya):
you are right because the left limit does not equal the right limit

Oh okay :-) Thank you. I'll be here for a while asking questions. Taking my calc midterm in 2 days.
myininaya (myininaya):
left limit is infinity
right limit is negative infinity
they are clearly going in completely directions when getting closer to pi/2
myininaya (myininaya):
different directions*
OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):
That's exactly what I thought. Thank you.
myininaya (myininaya):
If we had |dw:1381514362557:dw|
we could say the limit as x approaches 0 is infinity since both sides approach the same type of infinity
