OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Is there a way to graph piecewise functions on a calculator?

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

THERE IS!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

depends on how you are trying to work it out ... a ti83 has multiple y= slots, but im not sure if you can define domain for them

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

You can do it by graphing say it is: x^2+11 if x>2 and x^2+3x<2 Go into the graph y=(x^2+11)(x>2)+(x^2+3x)(x<2)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmm, it works in table, but says error on the graph for me

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

It works for me. Try setting to radians and to dot. Also, how do I determine if it is an open hole or a closed hole?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

open and closed depend on the "equal" ness of the domian if "equal" to use \(\le\) or \(\ge\) as a closed dot ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i dont think you can determine create opne/closed graphics tho

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

That's what I meant (your second response) haha.
