can I get help with finding the slope of a line containing the point (-2,3) and (1,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope is the rise over run, and given the two points you are going to find the difference of the points. \[\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from that equation all you have to do is plug and chug

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 4 over 3 and 1 over -2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not quite. because coordinates are set up as (x,y) it would be \[\frac{ 4-3 }{ 1-(-2) }\]
