log((x-3)/2) + log((x+2)/7) = 0 I am having no trouble with other problems of the same type, for some reason this one is stumping me. I have the answer, I need the process of GETTING the answer. (Supposedly the answer is 5). I know the rules and the basics of logarithms, I just think I'm probably making the same mistake over and over, please go through the solving process for me.

Are you specifying \(\log\) as the natural logarithm or base 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Base 10. And actually, I don't think I was clear enough on the parentheses. They are meant to be ((x-3)/2) and ((x+2)/7)
