Hi, I'm trying to find the moment of inertia using the formula r^2[m(gt^2/2s - 1) -mf] for each different systems. (Base, Base and Ring, Base and Disk) I wanted to know for the Radius^2 do I use just the radius of the base (spider) or do I calculate the radius of each object and add those together to find inertia?

i'm not sure i understand your formula, but I do know when you are doing moments of inertia, that the r value is the distance from the base to center of inertia of the object of interest. hope that helps
