Find the values of the sine, cosine, and tangent for angle A

First you have to find the hypotenuse. Use the Pythagorean theorem to do that. The equation is \[c ^{2}=a ^{2}+b ^{2}\] with c being the hypotenuse and a and b the other sides. Once you have c you can use the fact that sin A is\[4\div c \] cos A is \[7\div c\] and tan A is \[4\div7\]

So for sine I got \[\frac{ 4 }{ \sqrt{65} }\] For cosine I got \[\frac{ 7 }{ \sqrt{65} }\] And for tangent I got 4/7

but those aren't answer choices

Your answers are correct. If you multiply the sine and cosine answers by \[\sqrt{65}/\sqrt{65}\] which is like multiplying by 1 you'll get the first answer :)

Basically you're just trying to get the radical in the numerator instead of in the denominator.
