This is elementary, but can someone explain to me in simple English the differences between the terms in these groups: what vs which who vs whom that vs which

I know its a lot, but I tried to sum it up as easily as possible! Sorry! x_x; I'm unsure of That vs. Which however! Thats a good question (: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - What vs. Which = Which usually refers to something with a certain number of choices or selecting. (ie. Which ice cream would you like? Which shoes should I wear with this outfit? ...) What usually refers to something with infinite choices or identifying. (ie. What's your favorite color? What would you like for dinner? ....) ~What; Identifies ~Which; Selects ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Who vs. Whom = The easy way to remember this is HE = WHO and HIM = WHOM. So for example if you can answer the question with HE, you would use WHO. ie. Who/Whom wrote the letter? He wrote the letter. Therefore, who is correct. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
