1. Create the data to fill in the tables below. The Coins table must be an arithmetic sequence and the Points table must be a geometric sequence. The common difference or ratio cannot equal 1 or 0. I just need help understanding what makes the data a geometric sequence and a arithmetic sequence.
@Jonathan1997
i can create the data I just need help like giving me examples of a arithmetic and geometric sequence.
Hmmm..... What grade are you in....? and what class is this for?
10th grade algebra 2
Okay, let me see if I have an example in one of my books! I am taking Algebra 2 as well!
ok I know what a geometric sequence is now it is a given set of numbers with a common ratio
an arithmetic sequence has to do with adding and a geometric sequence has to do with multiplying. 2,4,6,8,10 is an arithmetic sequence because the difference is found by adding 2 each time. 5,10,20,40 is a geometric sequence because the difference is found by multiplying by 2 each time.
Well then! :P lol
ok so my sets of data could be 2,4,6,8 and 2,4,8,16
2,4,6,8 is an arithmetic sequence with a ratio of 2 2,4,8,16 is a geometric sequence with a ratio of 2
ok thank you I wish i could give you both a medal for helping.
I can fix that :)
now everybody wins
Thanks very much
yes we do :)
