@goatman2001 Do you have no clue how to do this? This is very very basic fraction homework.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@goatman2001 try simplifiying the numerator (top half of the fraction) and simplifying the denominator (bottom half)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20/50 is 10/25 is 2/5. 10/50 is 5/10 is 1/5. 2/5-1/5 is 1/5 Your answer is c. (assuming its in a,b,c)

Find the difference negative two-sixths minus negative seven-ninths. Be sure to reduce to simplest form. positive four-ninths negative four-ninths positive five-thirds negative five-thirds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help with this one too? @magnacartaholygrail

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@goatman2001 Sure ;) so lets find a common denominator with 2/6 and 7/9. How about 18? In order to get the same denominator, multiply 2/6 by 3. 6x3 is 18. 2 x 3 is 6. So our first fraction will be 6/18. Now 7/9 . 9x2 is 18. 7 x 2 is 14. 14/18 will be our second fraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6/18 - -14/18. so 14-6 is 8. so 8/18 in reduced form is 4/9. Does that help?

@goatman2001 in 7th grade you should really know these by now. Ask your math teacher for help
