help plz: nd clearly show steps to show how u did it: (7m^-4n^19) * (-9m^-14n^-6)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

It is multiplication. This is all you need \(a^{b}a^{c} = a^{b+c}\),

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y but these are negative exponents..it's not tht easy, at first i thougt the same thing

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Keep thinking it. Who told you negative exponents worked differently? Not so. Just do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. so, i just mutiply the coefficents and thn just add the exponents? For example, ^-4*^-14

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Yup. Let's see it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, SO my answer is : -63m^-18n^-114 is that right?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Why did you ADD the m-exponents and MULTIPLY the n-exponents. Both should be addition.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, right, srry. i did tht by mistake, so rerwite/recap: -63m^-18n^13

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Now we're talkin'. Good work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so that's it? wow, pretty easy. thank you
