*Sorry I know this is reading* ("woods on a snowy evening" by Robert Frost) How might the speaker react if he saw a beautiful painting on the way to an appointment? The speaker might 1. stop to look at painting, forgetting all about the appointment 2. ignore the painting, not wanting to be late 3. rush by the painting with only a quick, appreciative glance 4. tell a friend to go to see the painting 5. stop and admire the painting, but keep the appointment

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound’s the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.

:) The scene is that he's alone in the cold winter woods with only his horse, thinking the poem to himself. So apply each of the possible answers to his scenario: 1) Is he staying in the woods, throwing away all of his responsibilities to be alone in the cold with his horse? 2) Is he completely ignoring the woods, not looking at anything, thinking about how worried he is that he might be late? 3) Is he running through the woods, thinking they're nice but not stopping to really take anything in? 4) Is he talking about how his friends would love this? 5) Is he standing still and watching the woods, thinking about them, but in end the leaving to go take care of his plans and promises?
