simplify 2p+7p

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Recalll the distibutive property:$$\huge ba+ca=(b+c)a$$ $$\huge 2p+7p= ?$$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

duh... maybe it's p(2+7)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both are like terms so it will be added so the answer will be 9p.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol it's simplified not added idiot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify means find the value of some variable..here it is not possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and 2p+7p=9p is the simplification u get here...and excuse me...p(2+7) is equal to 9p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, but that's not simplified the way that they want it, that's solved.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be better if u ask craiglol instead of arguing wid me

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

You have to simplify the equation. 9p would be the answer to the simplified expression of 2p + 7p. I believe that p(2 +7) is the simplified form.
