What is a molecule, and how does a molecule form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically, a molecule is something that forms when two atoms, usually non-metals combine covalently :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A molecule is a bunch of atoms bonded together. that is a general definitnion. a molecule usually forms with covalent or ionic bonding, depending on charges, valence electrons, etc. what grade subject is this by the way?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought compounds were formed with ionic bonding?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes sorry. i meant to say that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it intro to in to chem ..... i dont know why im taking it for the second time tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnks guys :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is electrically neutral, yep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

high school freshman chemistry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok. im taking ap chemistry right now, and i took honors chemistry last year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha that definition above was a TOTAL mistake! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i took its corce last year and passed with n "A" so idk y i am doing it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

some of the more simpler stuff i hve hard time remembering tho :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but yeah its basically an electrically neutral cluster of atoms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

you know, Googling helps too. or, if you want to be really in-depth, why not purchase a really good chemistry essential textbook by authors like raymond chang, atkins, etc. a textbook really helps and provides a ton of problems to hone your skills.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

chemistry is a really good subject if youre plannning to go to medical school. being a doctor earns the highest pay.. its totally worth it! just consider :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried to look it up on Google but I couldn't find a clear answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yeah then maybe a textbook will help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will try to find one thanks
