An architect built a model of a 220-foot tall building that he is designing. The model is 25 inches tall and 10 inches wide. How wide is the actual building? ( I know this is easy but im just checking)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Well you can find the scale of the model by dividing the real height with the model's height. Then multiply that by the model's width.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i have 8.8 so far

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

So that is your scale. It means that every inch of the model represents 8.8 feet in real life.

i just need the answer i dont need to work it out so what is it?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

.

i got 8.8ft as the width for the rl building.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

What you did was divide the real height with the model's height. Like I said in my first comment, that is the scale. And I listed what to do next.

OMG this is too frusturating..
