The unmarked sides are x and 10, right. Since it's a kite, adjacent sides are equal. Set up an equation adding up all 4 sides: x, x, 10, 10 and set it equal to 45

kite's are symmetric, so we can assume that the other long side is 10, and the other short side is x, like this: |dw:1382229923883:dw|

now in a square, if we wanted to find the perimeter we would add up all 4 sides of the square to get the perimeter. we will do the same thing here. so starting with the original 10 given to us, and moving clock wise we get, 10+x+x+10 = perimeter and we were told the perimeter = 45, so now we have an equation like this.. 10+x+x+10 = 45 so we simplify the equation 20 + 2x = 45 then make the term with the x in it by it's self in the equation 2x = 45 - 20 can you do the rest?
