Both things are equal, that's what the equals sign means. So if you have an apple on one side and an apple on the other side, that means if you do something to one apple, like, take a bite out of one, you have to take a bit out of the other one if you want them to look the same. Similarly, if you cube one side you have to do it to the other. Why would you want to cube any side? Well if you want to know what x is, you have to get rid of the cube root sign. So you just cube the cube root and it goes away. But remember, it's like biting an apple on one side. So just bite both sides (cube both sides) and then you're good.

5=x^(1/3) so if we tripple the power of both sides we would get the answer
