k(x)= -2/x-4 What does the numerator represent ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The numerator does not represent anything significant on the graph. The denominator, however, cannot equal 0 so x cannot equal 4. On the graph, it will be a limit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks, so what is the numerator for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's just there to draw a graph that is different from let's say.. 2/x-4. The negative in front of the 2 reverses the direction of the graph.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay thanks
