Ohm's law is represented by the equation I = V/R. Explain how the current would change if the amount of resistance decreased and the voltage stayed the same.
In accordance with the law, if r became smaller, and V stayed the same, the current would increase.
so thats the answer? @radar
Yes, you could further state, the the increase would be inversely proportional to the resistance, if the resistance was halved, the current would double.
thanks @radar!
You're welcome, and welcome to the study of electricity.
can you help me with one more question? @radar
I can try.
@lonelyflowers is it Ohms Law?
@radar Define resistance and describe what would happen to a light bulb if the voltage increased but the resistance stayed the same.
Resistance is the opposition to current flow. In a light bulb circuit if the resistance remained the same (constant) and the voltage increased, the current being directly proportional to voltage would also increase causing the light bulb to increase in brilliance (become brighter). This does have a practical limitation if the voltage increases high enough beyond the voltage rating of the light bulb, the bulb will burn itself out.
