18 √x−14 solve the domain and the range I know the Domain is [0 , +infinity), but what is the range? I wrote (4,+infinity)but it is wrong. ~ Given that f(x)=[ 8/(x−7)] and g(x)=[ 3/(x + 4)] (f/g) (x)=? I know the answer is (8x+32)/(3x-21). but what is the domain? isnt it (-infinity , 7) U (7 , +infinity)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first one how do you get the domain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know that we cant put 0 in a Root so its [0 , +infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and we cant put a negative number too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea i know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i cant find the range correctly...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

graph the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see that the first function cant be negative at all so it could take values from 0 to inf

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

range is [-14,infinity) since graph is shifted down 14

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

for 2nd question...your domain seems correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dumbcow are you talking about the first function ?

|dw:1382350004356:dw| is it like this ?
