Subtract the following: (-12y^9-13v) - (11y^9+4v) Answer should be in simplest terms, assistance please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Combine like terms. You subtract the -12 by 11 first and get what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you subtract the -13v by the 4v

Sorry was away and you get -23y then you get -17v right? So it'd be -23y - (-17v) Except two negatives make a positive so -23y + 17v is the correct answer right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should get -23y^9 - 17v^2 :) Because X*X= x^2

Thanks.
