Can someone help me understand what this means?

“And to the sluggish clod, which the rude swain Turns with his share, and treads upon. The oak Shall send his roots abroad, and pierce thy mold. Yet not to thine eternal resting-place Shalt thou retire alone—nor couldst thou wish Couch more magnificent.”

That is a mouth full... Well I don't know about "And to the sluggish clod, which the rude swain Turns with his share, and treads upon." But "Yet not to thine eternal resting-place" could mean he is going to his eternal resting place;hell. And retire alone, death. Couch means to lay yourself down for rest, so whoever this was written to he was laying himself down to rest or to die beneath an oak tree. This is a mess I know but I hope I helped.
