what does diabetes do to the circulatory system? Help explain?
Diabetes mellitus is a condition where the body is unable to control the level of circulating sugar in the blood. This result from the body producing inadequate levels of insulin, or despite producing adequate levels of insulin, the body has developed resistance to the action of the insulin. The pathway to a person with diabetes finally developing sufficient complications in order to warrant an amputation is fairly complex. Diabetes causes two major complications: • Neuropathy. • Peripheral vascular disease
I'm not sure, but i do have Type 1 and i can answer any other question you have. :)
so basically diabetes happens when the body is unable to circulate the sugar in blood.
well i have to describe what diabetes does to the body.. and i have to pick 4 major parts of the body and explain how is effects it. @warood @XxRandixX
can u post the exact question they gave you?
@JOshua_Lewis
Pancreas, kidneys, eyes, and Feet. Pancreas because it shuts down and quits giving out insulin. Kidneys because if not taken care of it properly, they will quit cleaning the blood and will need to be put on dialysis, Eyes is the same for kidneys, if not taken care of the blood sugars, then possibilities are you can become blind or partially blind. Feet is like kidney and eyes. Don't take care of sugars and such, you can get the amputated if there is a severe cut and the body doesn't heal it properly because of how bad the sugars have been. I don't know if this answers your question but. I tried.
