What political, economic, and social factors were involved in the founding of the English colonies in North America? Please help, I am kind of looking for push and pull factors, and I need help on the political and social factors rather than the economic. Thank you! ^^
Politically, people thought the colonists and companies trying to establish them would never make it. Economically, they cost a lot of money. Socially, everyone was so busy and there were occasionally sick and ill people around, so they were dead without medications to help them. Hope this helps, but it might not as much as something else :L
I still don't get it...
How would people thinking they wouldn't make it be involved in the founding of the English colonies? And how is people being sick and busy be involved in the founding of the English colonies? Can you please clarify?
@Kfins99
It doesn't really involve the founding of the English colonies, I apologize, I was looking at the question a different way. I, again, am deeply sorry
Its okay, but do you know the answer, or is there any links that can help me?
Wealth and religious ideology were the usual reasons. Despite the delivery of roughly 6000 settlers over Jamestown's first 15 years, the town counted only 1200 living residents as late as 1625. But the discovery that tobacco could be successfully grown at Jamestown and sold abroad for great profits triggered a gold rush-like boom that lasted through the 1620s.
Thank you so much!
Anytime!
What else do you need help on? (:
I still don't understand, but what were the causes and consequences of the French and Indian war?
