equation in slope-intercept form.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Do you know the point-slope formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope(m) formula is this : Y2-Y1/X2-X1=m Y1=-4 X1=-4 X2=1 Y2=4 Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes y2-y1/x2-x1 never mind I got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then we have : Y2-y=m(X2-x) So : Y2=4 X2=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just have : m=-4-4/-1-1=-8/-2=4 So have : 4-y=4(1-x) 4-y=4-4x And get it in standard form . Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And in second : x=180-(36+63) And : x+z=180 If you find x can answer z . And y : y=180-(z+13) Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K ! And for 3th we have : m2 = -1/m1 Means m for this equation is : m2=-1/4 We find the m1 = 4 . So we have this again : Y2-y=m(X2-x) we have : Y2=-3 X2=10 m=-1/4 Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And for your second : x=180-(36+63) And : x+z=180 If you find x can answer z . And y : y=180-(z+13) x=180-99=81 we had : x+z=180 81+z=180 =>z=180-81= 99 And y : 180 - 99+13 = 81+13 = 94 y=94 x=81 z=99 Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do have any problem ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Gracy_KSL you should first find slope using given two points.i.e.slope=y2-y1/x2-x1 then use point-slope formula i.e. y-(y-coordinate of any of the two points)=slope{x-(x-coordinate of the the point taken earlier)}.

@saurav151 :Thank you ! You said that better than me ! Thank you .
