please i need helpe Find the x- and y-intercepts for the equation. Then graph it. 5x - 20y = 20 A. (0, 4), (-1, 0) B. (0, -1), (4, 0) C. (0, -4), (1, 0) D. (0, -1), (-4, 0)

OpenStudy (austinl):

To find the x intercept, put in y=0 into the equation For the y intercept, put in x=0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and after that

OpenStudy (austinl):

solve for the remaining variable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

did you figure it out yet yankey ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey bro just help me bro i need to turn in this test in 5 minutes bro please

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

like austin said.....to find the x intercept, plug in 0 for y. To find the y intercept, plug in 0 for x. Do you understand ?

OpenStudy (austinl):

We have, \(5x - 20y = 20\) Now to find the x-intercept we put in \(y=0\), because at that point the only place that the line can be is on the x-axis. To find the y-intercept you put in \(x=0\), because at that point the only place the line can be is on the y-axis. |dw:1382625581467:dw|

oh ok
