HAVING A BRAIN FART >.<

How do I do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply (x+2)(x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And I gotta simplify my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x ^{2}-2x-8\] To do this use foil http://puu.sh/4YtHq.png - look at that picture taken from - http://www.freemathhelp.com/using-foil.html If you don't want to click the link you multiply the first teams of each brackets, then the outside terms, then the inside and finaly the last terms.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I looked just at that question, sorry!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

(x+2)(x-4) basically means x(x-4)+2(x-4) then find the like terms.
