Suppose that triangle TUV is isosceles with base TV. Suppose also that m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same type of problem as we just did.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one with angles W, X, and Y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand that. my problem is finding the formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like whats the formula for angle U

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula is to add all three angles and set it to 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In an isosceles triangle, the two base angles are equal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In your problem, we dont know anything about angle U. All what we know that TV is the base, so angles T and V are equal to each other. So set them equal to each other. So really it isnt the same problem as last one. Last one we knew all 3 angles and had to set them equal to 180.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Makes sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what are the measures of angles T, U, and V?

So what are the measures of angles T, U, and V?
