long division question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to do long division for a partial fraction integral but im not sure where to go from this step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh you went wrong in the second step \[- x ^{2} - (-3x ^{2}) = 2x ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see so now, its always a simple error

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes indeed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after i've corrected that i end up with (2x^2-3x+2)-2x^2-6x+4 which gave me 9x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its 2x^2-7x+4 not 6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can't see that, you multiply the original equation (x^2-3x+2) by 2 and get 2x^2-6x+4, where did you get 7x from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Shoot sorry, give me a second
