Help, I'm having trouble factoring: 12x^2-10x+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Generally the polynomial: ax^2 + bx + c Can be factorized as a(x-p)(x-q), where p and q are the roots of the polynomial, or the solutions of the equation: ax^2 + bx + c = 0 Using the quadratic formula, the equation 12x^2 + 10x - 2 = 0 has two solutions, -1 and 1/6. So your result is 12(x+1)(x-1/6) Hope I helped :)
